J.O.B.S. in partnership with ed2go and Texas AGD offers online education courses designed to provide the workforce with sustainable skills necessary to enter a new field or advance students’ current career. Our online advanced career training courses provide the most effective online training. Students are assigned a student advisor who will assist the students with setting an achievable study/completion schedule.
J.O.B.S. receive subsidized by local, state, or federal funds, or funding by any person, firm, association, or agency other than the women enrolled. There is no charge for enrollment (no application fee expected) women who are unemployed, underemployed, or live in underserved communities (students) for any of the J.O.B.S. offered career training programs or job-readiness courses.
The women will not pay program books, tuition, fees, supplies, exams, and study materials. J.O.B.S. will pay {on the students’ behalf} the partners, vendors, and suppliers for educational material, services and/or resources.
Due to the nature of our mission (and source of funding), one of the key entrance requirements [which will be prescreened] of all applicants, women will met one of the following conditions: unemployed, underemployed, or live in a underserved community.
Hardware: Laptop or tablet required, PC, Mac, or Chromebook, Access to a video camera (on the tablet, camera to upload on app, or other device).
Software: Windows 10 or later operating systems, Mac: OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later), Microsoft Word (online version acceptable), Adobe Acrobat Reader, High-speed Internet connection required Email capabilities and video/camera uploads required.
Browser: Latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is highly recommended.

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) online course will provide the students the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills that make medical assistants versatile and valuable, including medical terminology, medical law and ethics, HIPAA rules, scheduling systems, and the application of medical terms. The asynchronous online clinical medical assistant certification course, provides the opportunity to become CPR certified. Students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). J.O.B.S. pays for the NHA certification exam, NHA CCMA study guide (online), study guide (book), 6 practice exams, NHA Anatomy & Physiology, NHA Career Case Study (PersonAbility), NHA SkillsBuilder Clinical, NHA SkillsBuilder Admin, and NHA Patient Experience Simulation.
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) 45-day course is facilitated by J.O.B.S. partner, Texas Academy of General Dentistry (Texas AGD). RDA course prepares students for the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) exam. Students will learn about every aspect of registered dental assisting and essential information about anatomy and physiology, preventive dentistry, patient care and communication, radiology, pharmacology, anesthesia, and assisting in specialty practices. The curriculum is an online registered dental assistant course which also includes TSBDE Jurisprudence Assessment and course material. Once the Texas AGD RDA course is completed, students will take an onsite Basic Life Support course facilitated by an approved American Heart Association Instructor. Finally, students will take the Unbound Human Trafficking Course: Identifying & Responding to Victims of Human Trafficking for General Dentistry course.
The Certified Physical Therapy Technician online course will prepare students for the America Medical Certification Association (AMCA)’s Physical Therapy Technician Certification (PTTC) exam. Students will learn the role, responsibilities, and qualifications of the certified physical therapy technician/aide in various healthcare settings. Students will properly identify positioning, patient transfers, common exercises, modalities, and medical equipment. Students will demonstrate ethical and legal behavior specific to physical therapy healthcare settings. Throughout this course, students will identify, define and summarize human anatomy, functional body movements, and system disorders as they relate to physical therapy. The curriculum in this online physical therapy technician/aide course also includes the exercise and mobility training, patient-centered communication, patient education, and workplace health and safety.
The Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) course will give students a comprehensive overview of working as a phlebotomist. During this phlebotomy technician training course, students will learn about drawing blood from patients and blood donors, evaluating patients’ ability to withstand the procedure, and helping them feel comfortable. Students will learn how to properly explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients and the importance of answering their queries. The asynchronous, online phlebotomy certification course includes simulation experience through the inclusion of a lab kit for assignments and aligned simulations for practice. Students will have access to videos outlining procedures and “how to’s” that allow for firsthand practice as expected in real-world scenarios.
The Pharmacy Technician Certification online course prepares aspiring pharmacy technicians in how to assist the pharmacist in the packing and distribution of medication. This pharmacy technician course will prepare students for entry-level pharmacy technician positions by teaching students medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic anatomy related to the pharmacology of medications, and pharmaceutical calculations. Throughout this course, students will obtain hands-on practice in retail pharmacy procedures through an online lab module. Students will learn the necessary information to process prescriptions and physician orders and apply that knowledge to fill mock prescriptions. Students will learn the ethics of pharmacy practice and education about prescription medications, patient care and interaction, and charges and reimbursement.
