National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
J.O.B.S. is an approved training program through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the largest allied health credentialing body in the United States. As a partner, J.O.B.S. offers NHA certifications which are nationally accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Students who complete a training course and pass their certification exam will be recognized as Nationally Certified Healthcare professionals and will earn credentials to use with their name, a certification ID card, and a certificate. J.O.B.S. in partnership with Education To Go (ed2go) provides our students with the opportunity to access over 150 nationally recognized accredited certification courses, and Ed2Go partner with over 2000 top colleges and universities worldwide in 25+ years. J.O.B.S. is overjoyed that we can provide the same national accredited certification courses that over 3 million students have paid great money to the women in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area who are unemployed, who are underemployed, or who live in underserved communities for absolutely FREE, with the help of funding sources such as donations, sponsors, or grants. Texas Academy of General Dentistry (Texas AGD)
J.O.B.S. in partnership with Texas Academy of General Dentistry (Texas AGD), offers a 45-day online Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification course. The online RDA course is approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE). The Texas AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. Texas AGD is the largest state constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). J.O.B.S. students will receive course instruction, course material, exam study material and RDA exam from Texas AGD. J.O.B.S. / Texas AGD will provide study strategies for our students to successfully complete the online RDA course instruction, Basic Life Support course, and Human Trafficking course. Once our students have met these requirements for the TSBDE Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certificate, our students will be ready to proceed with the TSBDE application process. After successfully passing the Texas AGD RDA certification course and the additional required courses, J.O.B.S. students will receive a certificate of completion from Texas AGD. The certificate of completion is valid for 12 months and J.O.B.S. students will need to apply for the RDA with the TSBDE within 12 months from the receipt of the Texas AGD certificate of completion. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
J.O.B.S. is an approved training program through The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the first certification organization for pharmacy technicians and the only nonprofit pharmacy credentialing organization in the US. For over 25 years, PTCB ‘s commitment to excellence has led to the certification of over 525,365 pharmacy technicians through the examination and transfer process. PTCB develops, maintains, promotes, and administers a nationally accredited certification and recertification program for pharmacy technicians to enable pharmacists’ most effective support to advance patient safety. As a PTCB Recognized Education/Training Program, our CPhT program provides PTCB’s certification exams leading to NCCA nationally accredited CPhT certifications which is the most widely accepted credential for pharmacy technicians across the country. CCMA
CERTIFIED CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) course provides students’ the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills including medical terminology, medical law and ethics, HIPAA rules, measuring vital signs, assisting with exams, performing laboratory testing, maintaining equipment and supplies, administering injections, obtaining blood specimens, scheduling appointments, registering patients, and the importance of Certified Clinical Medical Assistants as healthcare team members. The online medical assistant certification course also includes the opportunity to become CPR certified. Students are eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
CPT
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN
The Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) course will give students a comprehensive overview of working as a phlebotomist. During this phlebotomy technician training course, students will learn about drawing blood from patients and blood donors, evaluating patients’ ability to withstand the procedure, and helping them feel comfortable. Students will learn how to properly explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients and the importance of answering their queries. The asynchronous, online phlebotomy technician course includes simulation experience through the inclusion of a lab kit for assignments and aligned simulations for practice. Students will have access to videos outlining procedures and “how to’s” that allow for firsthand practice as expected in real-world scenarios.
CPhT
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
The Pharmacy Technician Certification Course will prepare students for entry-level pharmacy technician positions by teaching students medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic anatomy related to the pharmacology of medications, and pharmaceutical calculations. Throughout this course, students will obtain hands-on practice in retail pharmacy procedures through an online lab module. Students will learn what information is necessary to process prescriptions and physician orders and apply that knowledge to fill mock prescriptions. The curriculum in this online pharmacy technician course also includes the ethics of pharmacy practice and education about prescription medications, patient care and interaction, and charges and reimbursement.
PTTC
PHYSICAL THERAPY TECHNICIAN / AIDE
The Physical Therapy Technician (PTTC) course will prepare students for the America Medical Certification Association (AMCA)’s Physical Therapy Technician Certification (PTTC) exam. Students will learn the role, responsibilities, and qualifications of the certified physical therapy technician/aide in various healthcare settings. Students will properly identify positioning, patient transfers, common exercises, modalities, and medical equipment. Students will demonstrate ethical and legal behavior specific to physical therapy healthcare settings. Throughout this course, students will identify, define and summarize human anatomy, functional body movements, and system disorders as they relate to physical therapy. The curriculum in this online physical therapy technician/aide course also includes the exercise and mobility training, patient-centered communication, patient education, and workplace health and safety.
RDA
REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) 45-day course is facilitated by J.O.B.S. partner, Texas Academy of General Dentistry (Texas AGD). RDA course prepares students for the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) exam. Students will learn about every aspect of registered dental assisting and essential information about radiology, infection control and jurisprudence. The curriculum is an online registered dental assistant course which also includes TSBDE Jurisprudence Assessment and course material. Once the Texas AGD RDA course is completed, students will take an onsite Basic Life Support course facilitated by an approved American Heart Association Instructor. Finally, students will take the Unbound Human Trafficking Course: Identifying & Responding to Victims of Human Trafficking for General Dentistry course.
